The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team picked up a road win Tuesday night in its final nonconference match of the season.
Southeast rolled past future Ohio Valley Conference member Southern Illinois-Edwardsville 25-18, 25-14, 22-25, 25-20.
The Redhawks improved to 11-15 while the Cougars fell to 1-24.
Emily Hughes led Southeast in kills with 13, followed by Karleigh DeLong and Claire Keaton with 12 each. DeLong had 10 digs for a double-double.
Molly Davis led in digs with 20, followed by Amanda Rickhoff with 18. Sarah Barth recorded 39 assists.
On Monday, Southeast nabbed two OVC awards as DeLong was named offensive player of the week and Barth earned setter of the week honors.
DeLong had 37 kills and 16 digs as Southeast split two matches last week. She had just nine attack errors for a .311 attack percentage.
Barth, who has missed much of the season with a broken wrist, had 84 assists and 20 digs in last week's two matches.
Southeast plays its final two home matches this week, Friday against Morehead State at 7 p.m. and Saturday against Eastern Kentucky at 6 p.m. on senior night.
The Redhawks, who have four OVC contests left, are a sixth-place 6-8 in the 10-team league. The top six finishers qualify for the OVC tournament.
Soccer player honored
Southeast freshman Kristen Starkey is the OVC co-goalkeeper of the week, the third time she has won the award this year.
Starkey notched her league-high seventh shutout of the season last week against SIU-Edwardsville and lowered her conference-best goals-against average to 0.81.
The Redhawks finished the year 8-7-3 overall but failed to make the OVC tournament.
