The Southeast Missouri State track and field program turned in a strong performance over the weekend during the Indiana University Relays.
Southeast's men captured two individual titles and one relay title, while the women claimed one individual title.
On the men's side, freshman Robert Delaria won the 200 meters with a time of 22.21 seconds.
Two-time Ohio Valley Conference indoor field athlete of the week John Berry captured his third straight long jump title with a distance 24 feet, 4 inches.
Delaria joined Chris Gill, Chris Poindexter and Miles Smith to win the 1,600 relay in 3:12.83, the fastest time in the OVC this season.
Gill was second in the 400 (48.96), Brandon Karcher was second in the 5,000 with an OVC-best time of 14:57.36 and Brandon Colbert finished third in the shot put (55-4).
For Southeast's women, freshman Rachel Kahle from Jackson won the 200 (25.61).
Both the men's and women's teams will have the week off before competing at the Iowa State Cyclone Classic on Feb. 15 and 16.
Selected members of the men's squad will compete at the prestigious New Balance Collegiate Invitational in New York City this weekend. Among those set to head to New York are Berry and the 1,600 relay team.
Gymnasts drop to 27th
The Southeast women's gymnastics team dropped four spots in the national rankings.
Southeast is 27th with an average score of 193.442. The Redhawks were ranked 23rd last week.
Football signing day party
The Southeast Missouri State football program will host a signing-day party Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Port Cape Girardeau.
The event is open to the public and will feature a $5 appetizer buffet.
Southeast coach Tony Samuel will speak and show video highlights of new recruits.
Wednesday is the first day of the national letter of intent signing period.
