Redhawks' Bradley named OVC newcomer

Southeast Missouri State junior Jarekious Bradley earned the Ohio Valley Conference men's basketball newcomer of the week award for the second time Monday.

Bradley, who was a first-team NJCAA Division I All-American at East Mississippi Community College last year, averaged 23.5 points in the Redhawks' two games last week. The 6-foot-5 small forward scored 26 points in an 87-83 loss to Ball State and 21 points in a 109-64 win over Mid-Continent. He shot 58.3 percent from the field over the two games.

Bradley is third in the OVC in scoring at 19.3 points a game.
