ST. LOUIS -- Brett Hull scored three goals and added two assists, leading the Detroit Red Wings to a 5-2 victory Saturday night over the St. Louis Blues.

Pavel Datsyuk and Boyd Devereaux each scored a goal and two assists for the Red Wings, who are 4-0-1 in their last five games.

Detroit outshot St. Louis 32-31.

It was the second consecutive loss for the Blues, who had won their previous 10 games in a row. The loss also snapped a seven-game winning streak at home and a nine-game winning streak on Saturday home games.

Hull, who has 21 goals this season, provided the offense for Detroit in the first period, scoring twice in 17 seconds and assisting on the third tally as the Red Wings took a 3-1 lead.

For Hull's first goal, Chris Chelios shot from the slot and the puck bounced out. Devereaux retrieved the loose puck and passed it to Hull, who scored from the right faceoff circle at 3:39.

Hull then scored on a slap shot from the left faceoff circle after being fed by Devereaux at 3:56. Hull has scored five goals in his last six games.

St. Louis scored a power-play goal at 12:31 when Keith Tkachuk, stationed in the slot, lifted the puck over Dominik Hasek's left shoulder, cutting the lead to 2-1.

Tkachuk notched his 27th goal of the season after getting a Scott Mellanby pass from the left corner. It was just the seventh power-play goal allowed by Detroit in 21 road games.

Datsyuk scored a power-play goal when he slapped in a rebound at 17:18. St. Louis goaltender Brent Johnson couldn't corral Hull's slap shot and an alert Datsyuk rapped it in, giving Detroit a 3-1 lead.

Each team scored a goal in the second period.
