Malden opened a 14-0 lead and held on to knock off Chaffee 14-8 in football action Friday night.
Chaffee scored with about 6 minutes left when Andrew Hendirx hit Jerrod Steger with a 55-yard pass.
The pair hooked up on the 2-point conversion as well.
Malden got the ball back and Chaffee's defense answered.
With about two minutes left, Chaffee put a drive together, but couldn't punch it in.

Leopold shutout host Meadow Heights in the first-place game to win the tournament.
Game scores were 25-15, 25-11.
In the third-place game, Oak Ridge battled back to beat Zalma 22-25, 25-21, 25-23.
