The Scott City softball team eased past visiting St. Vincent 10-5 on Thursday despite having just six hits.

Melanie Lacey picked up the pitching win for the Rams, who improved to 6-13.

Holly Shemonia went 2-for-2 to lead the Rams offensively. Lacey helped her own cause with a triple.

St. Vincent had nine hits, led by Amy Winschel with three and Hannah Mudd with two.

Notre Dame knocked off the defending Illinois small-school state champion on the road to remain undefeated.

Lauren Reinagel (20-0) pitched a one-hitter for the 21-0 Bulldogs, with four strikeouts and four walks.

Notre Dame scored both runs in the fifth inning, going ahead for good on a leadoff home run by Alecia Glaus.

Scott City outlasted host Bell City in a best-of-five match as the Rams notched their 21st victory.

Brooke Simpson paced the Rams (21-1-2) with 23 kills, while Katie Hogan had 18 kills and 27 digs.

Anna Laitinen had 29 digs and 12 kills, Jordan McFall dished out 28 assists and Katie Diebold recorded 25 assists.

For the Cubs (14-5-2), Jasmine Johnson had 21 kills and 36 digs, while and Codie Lancaster recorded 39 assists.

Notre Dame eased past host Jackson.

Bridgette Nenninger led the Bulldogs (13-4) with 11 kills. MaryAnn Bradshaw paced the Indians (10-9) with seven kills.

Perryville swept visiting Crystal City for its 19th win.

Megan Moldenhauer dished out 23 assists for the Pirates (19-6-1). Ava Johnson had nine kills.

Meadow Heights crushed host Charleston.

Courtney Brune led the Panthers (10-9-1) with seven kills. Heather Dietiker added four kills and Ashley Doublin had 17 assists.

Leopold cruised past host Oran.

Casey Bucher led the Wildcats (14-2-1) with nine kills and Lauren Seiler had 12 assists.

Perryville 4, Poplar Bluff 1

Perryville, fielding a team for the first time, continued to roll with a home victory.

Dalton Hoehn led the way with two goals and an assist for the Pirates (11-2).

"We reached our goal of a .500 season in just 13 games, so we're pleased with that," Perryville coach Jerry Fulton said.

Saxony Lutheran 7, Kennett 0

Saxony Lutheran dominated visiting Kennett.

Garrett Fritsche paced the Crusaders (10-4) with three goals, while Brent Rodewald had one goal and two assists.
