Rain puts Kelly quest on hold

Kelly's quest for a second straight trip to the softball quarterfinals was put on hold on Wednesday, as rain postponed the Hawks' Class 2 sectional game with Elsberry at Elsberry.

Kelly will play Elsberry 4:15 p.m. today at C and H Park in St. Peters.

VOLLEYBALL

Advance will face top-seeded Puxico in the quarterfinals of the Stoddard County volleyball tournament today after a 26-24, 25-20 win over Woodland late Tuesday.

No. 4 Advance improved to 15-9-1. Angela Broshuis led the Hornets with six kills. Stephania Jordan had five digs, Broshuis added four digs and Kacie Ritter had eight assists.
