SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Three Rivers college baseball team scored 23 runs over two games to sweep a road doubleheader Tuesday from the Drury University junior varsity squad.

The Raiders won the opener 11-8, then won the second game 12-5.

The two victories put Three Rivers back over the .500 mark at 10-9.

In the first game, the Raiders fell in an early 4-1 hole, but scored six times in the top of the third inning to take the lead.

Tanner Duncan singled in Peyton Nelson for the inning’s first run, then Eli Marvin was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to make it 4-3. Charlie Parker then drew a walk to score another run and tie the game, then Dalton Rudd was hit by a pitch to put the Raiders ahead 5-4.

Brady Robertson capped the rally by hitting a ball that was misplayed by the first baseman, allowing Marvin and Parker to score and make it 7-4.

Parker later tripled in a pair of runs in the top of the fourth inning to make it 9-4. While Drury rallied later to make it close, Three Rivers led the rest of the way.
