The Three Rivers College baseball team ran its winning streak to three games Wednesday as it took a pair of games from Williams Baptist‘s junior varsity squad.

The Raiders won the opener 10-0 and took the nightcap 11-1 and improved to 7-8 on the season.

Three Rivers got a dominant performance on the mound from pitcher Austin Gast, who shut out the visiting Eagles. Gast allowed just two hits and three walks while striking out 11.

The Raiders also dominated at plate, scoring five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and adding two more in the bottom of the fifth to enforce the 10-run rule.

Brady Robertson and Eli Marvin each had three hits to lead the offense, while Robertson and Peyton Nelson each drove in two runs.

The nightcap was more of the same, as the Raiders scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back, again scoring twice in the bottom of the fifth to enforce the 10-run rule.

Nine Raiders had at least one hit in the second game, led by two each from Logan McIntyre and Dalton Rudd. Nelson and Nolan Self also drove in a pair of runs apiece. Christian Cleary also added a solo home run.

On the hill, four hurlers — Ty Thatcher, Bryce Stenzel, Jack Bell and Josh McDonald — combined to hold Williams Baptist to just three hits, two walks and one run while striking out eight.

Three Rivers heads to Neosho Friday and Saturday for a four-game series with Crowder.
