The Missouri Department of Conservation will hold a public meeting 6:30 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Wappapello Civic Center, just east of Wappapello Dam, to discuss proposed new crappie regulations at Lake Wappapello.

Fisheries biologists will present data and explain the proposed regulations. Those attending will have a chance to make comments and discuss the issues.

The civic center is located on a road just north of the intersection of highways D and T. Watch for a sign on Highway D. The center will open at 6 p.m.

The Missouri Department of Conservation has proposed new regulations for crappie at Lake Wappapello -- a 9-inch minimum length limit and a daily limit of 15 fish. If approved, these regulations will take effect on March 1, 2006.
