Notes: Both teams have running backs coming off 100-yard games. Portageville's Antonio Scott and Scott City's Matt Schaefer should provide much of their teams' yardage. Rams senior quarterback Mark Johnston debuted with 185 yards passing and four touchdown passes last week against Malden. He added added 51 yards on the ground and another touchdown.

Fort Zumwalt North at Perryville, 7 p.m.

Last week: Perryville 27, Windsor 13; Fort Zumwalt North 48, Warrenton 7

Last year's meeting: did not play

Notes: Perryville's Matt Unterreiner opened with 222 yards in rushing and returning a punt 60 yards for a score in the opening victory. Fort Zumwalt North exceeded 350 yards in the first half en route to a 42-0 lead. Mike Gladney rushed for nearly 100 yards in the opening quarter.St. Vincent at Park Hills Central, 7 p.m.

Last week: St. Vincent 36, Priory 14; Valle 14, Park Hills Central 13

Last year's meeting: Park Hills Central 17, St. Vincent 7

Notes: St. Vincent avenged last year's loss to Priory in the first week and seeks more vengeance this week against Park Hills Central. The Indians rushed for 233 yards in the opener, led by Tyler Lozier's 90 yards. Anthony Brown added 83 yards. St. Vincent comes into the game ranked No. 6 in Class 1.Chaffee at Corning (Ark.), 7:30 p.m.

Last week: Grandview 27, Chaffee 0

Last year's meeting: Corning 47, Chaffee 6

Notes: Chaffee is coming off a demoralizing loss to Grandview that extended the losing streak to 15 games. Chaffee has lost to Corning the past two seasons by a combined score of 87-31. Corning is playing its first game.

Last week: Jackson 33, Gosnell (Ark.) 8; Career Academy 46, Roosevelt 0

Last year's meeting: did not play

Notes: Jackson's offensive and defensive units both played well last week. Defensively, the Indians held Gosnell to only one first down. On offense, running backs Austin Bock (61 yards) and Jason Meystedt (70) complemented each other well. Roosevelt is coming off a 1-9 season and a poor showing in the opener.
