The Southeast Missouri State women's basketball team returned from its first Ohio Valley Conference trip of the season without encountering a loss.
The unbeaten road trip came by unorthodox means after Monday night's game against Murray State was postponed due to a power outage on the campus, which included the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky.
Southeast assistant sports information director Ryan Hilgemann was traveling with the Redhawks, who had won 75-64 two days earlier against Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tenn., and did not know whether the power outage was due to the winter weather.
"The electricity is out on the entire campus right now," Hilgemann said by phone about an hour before the scheduled 7 p.m. tipoff. "The city still has power, but the campus does not."
Hilgemann said the game has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 19.
Southeast (1-1 OVC, 5-10 overall) returns to action 3 p.m. Saturday when Tennessee State visits the Show Me Center.
