The Jackson Senior Babe Ruth baseball team's season came to an end at the state tournament Saturday night.
Jackson lost to Potosi 11-7 at Hillhouse Park in Charleston, Mo. Jackson scored all of its runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
Matt Ezzell was 1 for 4 with two RB1s for Jackson while Carson Crosnoe, Ethan Mirly, Conrad Bonney and Tyler Bohnert all collected a hit each as well.
Jackson advanced earlier in the day by defeating Arch City 14-12.
Gabe Bohnert was 3 for 4 in the win with four RBIs. He homered and tripled.
Bonney and Tyler Dowdy were both 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Cameron Duke was 2 for 3.
The Leopold Razorback's season also came to an end at the tournament after a 13-3 loss to Mineral Area in five innings on Saturday.
Eric Urhahn, who was 2 for 3 with a double at the plate, took the loss after allowing six runs in 1 1/3 innings pitched.
Josh Douglas had a double and a triple in his two at-bats for Leopold.
The host Charleston Fighting Squirrels, which handed Leopold its first loss of the tournament on Thursday, will face the SEMO Strokers, a team based in Oran at 2:30 p.m. today in a winner's bracket game. The loser of that game will face Mineral Area in an elimination game at 7:30 p.m. today while the winner will either Boonville or Poplar Bluff on Monday.
