Former Scott County Central star Otto Porter extended his run of Big East player of the week awards to three straight Monday.

The Georgetown forward averaged 23.5 points in wins over Connecticut and Rutgers last week that elevated the Hoyas to No. 5 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Porter, a 6-foot-8 sophomore, scored 21 of his 22 points after halftime in a 79-78 double-overtime road win against Connecticut. He ultimately scored the game-winning points on a drive to the basket in the closing seconds of the second overtime.

He then scored 25 points in a 64-51 win against Rutgers on Saturday that extended Georgetown's winning streak to 11 games.

Porter also averaged 6.5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2.5 steals and shot 54.2 percent from the field for the week.
