Poplar Bluff won the Class 4, District 1 golf tournament by seven strokes Tuesday at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson, Mo., but seven local golfers will make the trek to the state championships.
Jackson grabbed the second state-qualifying team spot with a 302 total, while Central will send two individuals, including medalist Todd Obergoenner, who led the field with a 2-under-par 70 .
Matt Litzelfelner led Jackson's top four scorers with a 74 and was followed by Eric Fraley (75), Chad Reiminger (76) and Blake McDowell (77).
