The Poplar Bluff Lady Mules edged Notre Dame and Saxony Lutheran in their home opener on Tuesday at Black River Coliseum even with many swimmers competing for the first time.

Poplar Bluff earned 129 points to Notre Dame’s 115 to grab the victory in the tri-meet.

The relay of Lily Gregory, Katie Scott, Ava Richardson and Keira Willis won the 200-yard medley relay while Maclaren Moore won the 100-yard butterfly. Scott also won the 100-yard free and was a member of the 200-yard free relay that took first, along with Gregory, Willis and Kinsley Gibbs. Willis, Scott, Gibbs and Gregory also won the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Poplar Bluff has the Ladue Invitational on Saturday.
