SIKESTON, Mo. -- Despite rain and high winds, Poplar Bluff cruised to a 12-stroke victory Monday in the 14-team Sikeston Invitational.

The Mules, led by Matt Hillis' 1-under-par 70 at Sikeston Country Club, were well ahead of host Sikeston, which finished a distant second. Both Sikeston and Jackson finished with 312 totals.

Notre Dame finished fourth and was followed by Dexter (319), St. Vincent (321), Cape Central (325), Kennett (326), Farmington (333), Sikeston's JV (338), New Madrid (339), Caruthersville (344), Clearwater (357) and Malden (360).

Kennett's Bryan Shumate finished medalist with a 69, nipping Hillis by a stroke.

Kyle Perry shot a 74 to pace Jackson, which also saw Matt Litz shoot 76, Peyton Sims card 79 and Nathan Brown finish at 83.

Notre Dame's team score consisted of Tim Buerck (77), Nick Martin (78), Elliot Maschmann (80), Adam Fenwick (83) and Ryan Hannan (83).

St. Vincent four-man score consisted of Craig Schumer (76), Jonathan Paulus (81), Andrew Prost (82) and Wes Richardet (82).

Cape Central's team total was comprised of Todd Obergoenner (77), Nick Harter (79), Paul York (84) and Ty Grambling (85).

St. Vincent 5, Brentwood 0

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Caitlin Hoeh figured in all the scoring for St. Vincent.

Hoeh notched a hat trick and assisted on two goals to lead the Lady Indians (11-5-1) past Brentwood.

Beth Hennemann added two goals and Amanda Carron, Chelsey Brown and Amy Wengert had an assist each.

St. Vincent goalie Mindy Cattoor recorded her ninth shutout of the season.
