Wade Lawrence had two goals and two assists for the Pirates (4-0).

Dalton Hoehn had a goal and an assist, Alex Robinson scored a goal and Kenny Stephenson added an assist.

Josh Hadler recorded the shutout.

VOLLEYBALL

Central 25 25

Sikeston 6 14

The Tigers had no trouble sweeping visiting Sikeston.

Rita Walter had nine kills to lead Central (4-8-1). Wendi Zickfield recorded six kills and six service aces, while Jade Sander and Megan Brandt added three aces each.

JV — Central won in two games.

Leopold 25 25

Bernie 9 15

Danielle Beel had seven kills and five blocks to lead the Wildcats' home sweep.

Kirsten Theile led Leopold (8-1-1) with eight kills, Lauren Seiler dished out 15 assists and Chelsea Stoverink recorded 10 digs and five aces.

JV — Bernie won in three games.

Oak Ridge 14 21

Courtney Brune smashed five kills and Chelsey Kight added three to lead the Panthers to the road victory.

Ashley Doublin put up 11 assists and Mica Morse finished with eight digs for Meadow Heights (7-5-1).

SOFTBALL

Notre Dame 14, Sikeston 1

Sophomore pitcher Emily Lawrence recorded a victory in her first varsity start as unbeaten Notre Dame rolled to a five-inning road victory.

Lawrence allowed four hits, struck out two and walked one.

Paris Burger, Britney Schott, Jane Morrill, Nikki Chambers, Alexis Ralls and Brooke Glastetter each had two hits for Notre Dame (7-0). Alecia Glaus, Ralls, and Glastetter all doubled.

Alex Fowler and Glaus had three RBIs apiece.
