Perryville moved into the championship game of the Chester, Ill., boys basketball tournament with a victory Thursday night, while Saxony Lutheran captured its tournament opener.
Perryville posted its second win in the six-team, pool play event and extended its winning streak to four games by easing past Christ Our Savior 57-49.
Ricky Dunn poured in 30 points for the Pirates (4-7), while Michael Fritsche added 13.
Saxony Lutheran began pool play by routing Elverado, Ill., 84-55.
Casey Petzoldt and Alex Jauch each scored 18 points for the Crusaders (10-3), while Lauren Lueders, Ben Curtois and Tim Lorenz each added 10 points.
Point guard Trey Maevers had 10 assists and just one turnover.
The Crusaders will finish pool play against New Athens (Ill.) at 6 p.m. today. The winner advances to Saturday's 7:30 p.m. championship game against Perryville.
