The first game didn't go well for the Perryville volleyball team Tuesday.

But the Pirates rallied to knock off Hillsboro in three games.

Ava Johnson spiked 14 kills in the win as Perryville kept rolling, pushing its record to 20-7-1.

Samantha Amberger added nine kills and Ashley Grogg helped out with nine digs for the Pirates.

Game scores were 12-25, 25-20, 25-8.

JV — Perryville won in two games.

Sarah DeWilde paced the Indians with a seven-kill, four-dig performance on the road.

Heather Richardet chipped in 21 assists for St. Vincent.

Courtney Brune spiked six kills, while Jillian Mills had five kills to lead the Panthers (12-9-1).

Micah Morse helped out with 14 digs, and Ashley Doublin had 20 assists.

Cassie Simpher had five kills, while Kara Versemann helped out with seven digs and three assists in the losing effort.

Taylor Irwin had six digs and six assists, while Amanda Young had six kills and three aces for the Eagles.

Brooke Simpson paced the Rams (21-1-2) with 10 kills, while Katie Hogan added 10 digs and six aces.

Leopold 25 25 Greenville 12 13

Casey Bucher paced the Wildcats (16-2-1) with five kills, while and Lauren Seiler added 10 assists.

JV — Leopold won two games.

Perryville 7, Festus 0

Dalton Hoehn scored three goals and had two assists to lead the Pirates (14-3) to another win in the first year of the program.

Cody Call had three saves to earn the shutout.

Eagle Ridge 5, Thomas Jefferson 1

Sam Davis scored two goals and Jack Lee had two assists to lead the Eagles to a victory in St. Louis.

Stephen Cohen, Ethan Grant and Ron Oh each added a goal for Eagle Ridge (6-2-1).

Sam Gramling won the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle to help pace the Tigers.
