Three players on the Perryville High softball team that won its first-ever district championship this year have been named to the Class 3A all-state squad.
Senior Lauren Tucker, junior Amanda Schumer and sophomore Stacey Baer were all honored after helping lead the Lady Pirates to a 19-10 record.
Tucker, a first baseman, batted .385, with 16 runs batted in and 16 stolen bases.
Schumer, a shortstop, batted .422, with a school-record 38 hits and a school-record 31 RBIs.
Baer, a center fielder, hit .405, with 21 RBIs, 13 stolen bases, a school-record seven triples and three home runs, which tied a school record.
"These are our first three girls to ever make all-state in softball and we're really proud of them," said Perryville coach Lynn O'Neal. "They are three outstanding kids. And the really good thing is, two of them will be back next year."
