Central third at home

Central was third and Notre Dame fourth among four teams in a meet Saturday at Central Junior High School.

Chaminade won with 777 points, and DeSmet was second with 694. Central (443) and Notre Dame (232) followed.

Notre Dame posted one individual win when John Stoverink topped the diving event with 199.9 points; he was fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.09).

Also for Notre Dame, John Fisher was second in the 100 butterfly (58.75 seconds) and third in the 50 freestyle (23:83).

Central's Sam Maguire was third in the 100 freestyle (53.07) and fourth in the 200 IM (2:19.71). Maguire, Clay Schermann, Alex Heddle and Hunter Givens were second in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:36.68.
