ST. LOUIS -- Perryville High's girls basketball team was eliminated from the Visitation Christmas Tournament Saturday by losing to Parkway North 59-47 in consolation action.

The Lady Pirates (4-6) had lost last week to John Burroughs in the first round.

Tiffany Perkins led the Lady Pirates with 18 points and Julie Berkbuegler added 10.

"It was two tough games in the tournament for us," said Perryville coach Vicki Lohmann. "But we're not playing like we had been playing."

Perryville trailed 39-23 at halftime Saturday.

Valle 72, Zalma 56

STE. GENEVIEVE -- Zalma fell Saturday during the first night of the Ste. Genevieve Christmas Classic.

Gandy Wade led the Bulldogs with 16 points while Ben Wallace had 11. Danny Malone had 21 for Valle.

Saturday's other game saw Ste. Genevieve down Herculaneum 73-68.
