~ The point guard will likely miss Sunday's game due to knee injury.
Southeast Missouri State junior point guard Paul Paradoski missed his second straight practice Thursday and is still on crutches, making it unlikely that he will play Sunday against Jacksonville State.
Paradoski injured his left knee during Tuesday's practice. X-rays taken that day were negative, but results of an MRI exam performed Thursday probably won't be known until today.
Paradoski has started all 10 games for the Redhawks this year, and he started 53 of Southeast's 56 games during his first two seasons.
"It's a little sore, about the same. The swelling is still the same amount," Paradoski said. "I'm supposed to find out what the deal is [today]."
As for his chances of playing Sunday when the Redhawks host Ohio Valley Conference rival Jacksonville State, Paradoski said, "It's not looking like it. But if the doctor says I can play, I'm going to play. It all depends on what he says."
Paradoski leads the Redhawks in assists with 28, against 16 turnovers. He is averaging 5.4 points per game.
Freshman Roderick Pearson likely would start in Paradoski's place Sunday, with starting senior off-guard Terrick Willoughby also a candidate to see action at the point, along with freshman Marcus Rhodes.
