Fourth-seeded Meadow Heights pulled off a decisive upset win over top-seeded Scott City Thursday night in the semifinals of the Woodland Invitational. Fourth-seeded Meadow Heights pulled off a decisive upset win over top-seeded Scott City Thursday night in the semifinals of the Woodland Invitational.

The Panthers rolled past the Rams 72-52 to advance to the championship game.

Dustin Hubler poured in 22 points and Derrick Wilfong netted 20 to lead the Panthers. Zac Hotop added 11 points.

The Ram's were led by Cody Page with 15 points.

In other semifinal action, Darren VanGennip went off for 40 points to lead second-seeded Leopold over sixth-seeded Zalma 73-46.

Dustin Thiele chipped in 10 points for the Wildcats.

Stephen Simmers led the Bulldogs with 10 points.

In the consolation bracket, Oak Ridge knocked off Woodland 67-51.

Stephen Wright paced the Blue Jays with 18 points. Brett Thomas added 15, Garret Light netted 13, and Logan Mangels chipped in 12.

Kyle Reynolds scored 19 points for the Cardinals, while Josh Hahn added 12.

Meadow Heights will square off against Leopold tonight in the championship. Scott City will take on Zalma for third place and Perryville will face Oak Ridge in the consolation final.

Oran Invitational

David VanGennip and Jacob Bond both scored 20 points to help sixth-seeded Advance ease past second-seeded Twin Rivers 73-53 in the semifinals.

Brad Steil and Luke Steil each added 10 points for the Hornets.

Drew Thomas put up 37 points as top-seeded Scott County Central dominated No. 4 Kelly 85-38 in the other semifinal.

Randy Timmons added 16 points, while Bobbdy Hatchett netted 11.

Josh DeBrock led the Hawks with 12 points.

On the consolation side, Oran jumped on Malden early and cruised to a 54-37 victory.

Preston Scherer netted 17 points and Jon Morrow chipped in 16 to lead the Eagles.

Scott County Central and Advance will meet in tonight's championship match, while Kelly and Twin Rivers play for third place, and Oran and Bell City play in the consolation final.
