Central's girls cross country team won the varsity race in Thursday's SEMO Conference Championships in Poplar Bluff.
The Tigers had 20 points. Jackson was second with 35.
Central's Jennifer Pancoast, Holly Shaffer and Linnea Woldtvedt garnered the top three spots. Cassie Kipper finished fifth and Hannah Lewis finished ninth.
Jackson's girls were led by Rachel Schmidt's fourth-place performance.
Notre Dame finished second behind Poplar Bluff in the boys' varsity race. The Bulldogs had 51 points to the Mules' 40. Central was third with 60.
Sam Montgomery and Ryan Roggow led Notre Dame by finishing sixth and seventh.
Central's Corey Huskey finished fourth and Jon Kipper took fifth. Kelly's Michael Glastetter was 10th.
BOYS' SOCCER Central 5, Jackson 1
Central continued to roll as the Tigers improved to 18-0 by rolling past visiting Jackson.
The Tigers got two goals from Heath Orr and one apiece from Aaron Bornstein, Jordan Duncan and Trey Willis. Duncan, Dean Richardson and Aaron Hutsell had assists.
Central's JV won 4-0.
VOLLEYBALL Central 25-23-25, Oran 20-25-23
Central picked up its fifth win of the year, slipping past visiting Oran in three games.
Chelsea Oliver had 13 kills for the Tigers (5-17-4). Julie Underwood had nine kills and 17 digs, Tasha Valleroy had 30 assists, and Erika McDowell added 13 digs.
Central's JV won 25-21, 25-16.
Jackson 25-12-25, Perryville 8-25-17
Molly Hartmann had 11 blocks and Shay Priester added nine blocks as Jackson slipped past host Perryville.
Rebecca Martin added 11 digs for the Indians (20-8-1). Laura Johnson had five aces and five digs, and Charity Seyer recorded five kills.
Jackson's JV (22-3) won 25-13, 25-20. Jackson's freshmen (7-9-3) won 25-20, 17-25, 15-8.
Advance 25-25, Scott City 10-21
Dana Williams had 12 kills and five digs to lead host Advance.
Nicole Tropf added five kills, five digs, two blocks and two aces for the Hornets (22-5). Alicia Broshuis recorded 10 assists.
Advance's JV won 25-14, 23-25, 25-21.
Leopold 25-25, Meadow Heights 15-15
Leopold swept host Meadow Heights as the Wildcats improved to 17-4 and dropped the Panthers to 8-10-5.
Tasha Thele had seven kills and five digs to lead the Wildcats (17-4). Amber Nenninger had six killss, and Wendy Vandeven added 11 assists.
Meadow Heights' JV won 25-19, 25-13.
Eagle Ridge 25-25, Southern Missouri 10-12
Eagle Ridge Christian School of Cape Girardeau eased past visiting Southern Missouri Christian of Poplar Bluff.
Rachel Carbaugh and Autumn Crowden both had five kills for Eagle Ridge (15-4-4). Ashley Hughes served six points. Chelsey Clark served eight points.
GIRLS' TENNIS Central eliminated
The Tigers lost to powerful St. Joseph's Academy 5-0 Wednesday in the Class 4 sectional round.
St. Joseph's won the state title last season.
"And they will again this year," Central coach Bud Craven said. "I feel very positive, though, that the girls made it to this level."
OTHERS
Darien Downing and Derek Walker each scored two touchdowns as Central's eighth-grade football team (3-2) won 28-6 at Sikeston.
Central's eighth-grade girls basketball team lost at home to Woodland 30-27 in overtime despite 13 points and 10 rebounds from Tierra Walker. Central lost the B game 34-27. Terra Bell scored 12 points.
