Four games will be played at Capaha Field Thursday as the 1999 Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Tournament gets under way.
The six-team tourney will run through Saturday.
Eastern Illinois, the OVC regular-season champion at 17-7, is the No. 1 seed while Southeast Missouri State University (15-8), the league runnerup and host squad, is the No. 2 seed.
Eastern Kentucky (14-10) is seeded third, with Middle Tennessee (14-10) fourth, Austin Peay (13-10) fifth and Murray State (13-11) sixth.
Two elimination games will kick off the tourney Thursday as Middle Tennessee plays Austin Peay at 10 a.m. and Eastern Kentucky faces Murray State at 1:30 p.m.
Then the tourney will become a double-elimination event. Thursday's semifinals will pit Eastern Illinois against the winner of Middle Tennessee-Austin Peay at 5 p.m. and Southeast against the winner of Eastern Kentucky-Murray at 8:30 p.m.
There will be three games Friday, with the winner's bracket final at 3:30 p.m. The title game is set for 3 p.m. Saturday.
