Hunting clinic: The Southeast Missouri Youth Hunting Clinic will be April 3 at the Apple Creek Conservation Area and Jackson High School Agriculture Building. The clinic will be 4:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and offers a learning and turkey-hunting experience to youths ages 11-15. Youths must be hunter education certified before the hunt, must attend the entire clinic to participate in the hunt and must have a parent or guardian attend the clinic and hunt with them. Food plot seed: The Bootheel Boss Gobblers will distribute wildlife food plot seed 8 a.m.-10 p.m. March 20 at Foutz's Hunting and Fishing Shop in Cape Town Plaza. Cost is $4 per bag.

Whitetails Unlimited banquet: The Ten Mile Pond Chapter Whitetails Unlimited Banquet will be March 20 at the Big Book Club, off Highway 105 in East Prairie. Social hour at 5 p.m.; dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets $35 each, $15 for spouse and $15 for juniors 15 and under. Tickets must be ordered by March 15. Info: Rex Burney, 649-2714.

Hunter education classes: Classes scheduled for 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on March 20 and March 21 at the Jaycee Community Center in Jackson; and 8 a.m.-7 p.m. April 4 at the Knights of Columbus in Jackson. Instructor for both courses is Eugene Myers. A class will be offered 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly Church of God in Scott City. Randall Morse is the instructor. A class in Perry County will be offered 6:30-10 p.m. April 2 and 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. April 3 at the Elks Lodge in Perryville. David Hoff is the instructor. No pre-registration required. Info: 290-5730.
