MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Southeast Missouri State women's softball team split an Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader with Morehead State on Saturday, winning the opener 5-0 before dropping the nightcap 6-1.

Southeast remained at .500 for the season at 22-22 and went to 12-7 in the OVC.

Jenny Doehring limited Morehead St. to five hits in the opener. She struck out two and walked one.

Southeast catcher Renee Enos led a 12-hit attack with a 4-for-4 performance. Kelsey White added two hits.

The Otahkians struck for three runs in the first, two scoring on a two-out Courtney Eklund single, and added a run in both the third and seventh innings.

Starter Nikki Scott lasted just two innings for Morehead and suffered the loss.

Southeast managed just four hits in the nightcap off Morehead's Pam Crawford.

Renee Mueller allowed 11 hits in six innings and suffered the loss for Southeast. Mueller struck out three and walked one.

Southeast scored its lone run in the top of the first and saw Morehead tie the game in the second. Morehead then moved ahead with two runs in the fifth and added three runs in the sixth.
