The Southeast Otahkians gave a dominating performance Saturday morning in the Southeast Missouri State Cross County Invitational at Capaha Park. Janelle Quigley (18:22.5), Tammy Wenkel (18:31.3) and Leslie McNamara (18:48.4) finished 1-2-3 respectively in the women's 3.1 mile event to lead the Otahkians to a first-place total of 20 points. Murray State finished a distant second with 49 points, followed by Arkansas State (66) and Tennessee-Martin (87)...

The Southeast Otahkians gave a dominating performance Saturday morning in the Southeast Missouri State Cross County Invitational at Capaha Park.

Janelle Quigley (18:22.5), Tammy Wenkel (18:31.3) and Leslie McNamara (18:48.4) finished 1-2-3 respectively in the women's 3.1 mile event to lead the Otahkians to a first-place total of 20 points. Murray State finished a distant second with 49 points, followed by Arkansas State (66) and Tennessee-Martin (87).

Sherry Deitiker (sixth, 19:10.1) and Celests Ramsey (eighth, 19:25.9) both placed in the top 10 for Southeast.

The Southeast men didn't fare as well in their four-mile race, placing third with 66 points behind Murray State (23) and Arkansas State (48). Tennessee-Martin took fourth with 96 points.

Erin Rhodes placed fifth in a time of 20:51.4 to lead the Southeast men. Ron Wagner (21:18.4) finished 11th for the Indians, followed by teammates Travis Schiwitz (15th, 22:04.0), Ryan Layton (16th, 22:08.0) and Tye Decramer (19th, 22:57.2).
