KANSAS CITY -- Southeast Missouri State University's volleyball team had no trouble Friday night as the Otahkians routed host Missouri-Kansas City 15-6, 15-3, 15-6.
The Otahkians improved their record to 17-5 with the non-conference win. They'll remain in Kansas City today to take on Oral Roberts in a 2 p.m. non-league match.
Jackie Derwort (14 kills) and Angie Aschoff (11 kills) led the Southeast attack. Tuba Meto contributed 34 assists.
UMKC, which fell to 8-14, got 14 kills from Courtney Cella.
Otahk netters victorious
Southeast Missouri State University's women's tennis team, playing its only home match of the abbreviated fall season, defeated Harding University 7-2 Friday afternoon.
The Otahkians swept five of the six singles matches, winning each in two sets.
Southeast will close out the fall season Oct. 24-26 at the Memphis Tournament.
