RICHMOND, Ky. -- Southeast Missouri State University's women's volleyball team moved a step closer to an undefeated conference season Friday night with a sweep of Eastern Kentucky.

Southeast improved to 13-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference with its 15-5, 15-9, 15-12 victory. The Otahkians, who are 17-8 overall, have just three more conference games remaining.

Eastern Kentucky fell to 8-16 overall and 4-8 in the conference.

Lea Beckemeyer led Southeast with 24 kills and a .422 attack percentage. She also turned in 15 digs, which was second only to teammate Krista Haukap, who had 16. Haukap finished with 19 kills and Rachelle Knapp added 12. Emily Scannell handed out 57 assists.

Becky Galati led Eastern Kentucky with 14 kills.

Southeast returns to action today at Morehead St.
