NORMAL, Ill. -- Southeast Missouri State University's rapidly improving women's gymnastics team posted its second straight season-best score here Thursday night.

Still, the Otahkians were defeated by host Illinois State in a dual meet 193.925 to 193.750.

The Otahkians captured the top two all-around positions as Ashley Godwin scored 39.100 and Stephanie Furman had 38.875.

Furman was also first on the balance beam (9.900), she tied for second in vaulting (9.750) and she tied for second in the floor exercise (9.850) with Godwin and teammate Michelle Walker.

Also finishing in the top three for the Otahkians was Elenor Wilson, who tied for third on the balance beam (9.800).
