Oran senior Addie Kielhofner and junior Toni Hency posted first-place finishes in the 300 hurdles and shot put events to help lead the Eagles to fifth place overall in the team standings at Saturday's Class 1 Sectional 1 meet at The Principia High School in St. Louis, Mo.

Kielhofner was also on Oran's second-place and fourth-place state qualifying relay teams in the 800 and 1,600 relays, respectively.

On the boys' side, Scott County Central's Cameron Blissett and Delta's Alex Lashley finished third in the high jump and discus events.

The top four finishers in all events qualified for the Class 1 state meet in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Class 2 Sectional 1

The Kelly track and field team placed fourth overall in both the boys and girls' divisions at Saturday's Class 2 Sectional 1 meet at The Principia High School in St. Louis.

On the boys side, senior Trey Walker posted first-place times in the 800 and 1,600 meter to lead the Hawks. Gaven Ray took second in the 300 hurdles with a time of 41.72 seconds for Kelly.

For the girls, junior Samantha Ratledge won the triple jump with a leap of 35 foot, 8 inches. She also took second in the long jump and was the anchor in Kelly's first-place 800 relay team.

The top four finishers in all events qualified for the Class 2 state meet in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Class 4 District 1

The Jackson boys and girls track and field teams both captured the Class 4 District 1 title for the first time in school history on Saturday at Fox High School in Arnold, Mo.

"It was a big feat for us," Jackson coach Jim Stoverink said.

In addition to making history, the Indians also had numerous athletes qualify to compete at the sectional meet on Saturday at Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton, Mo.

Class 3 District 1

The Notre Dame track and field team fared well at Saturday's Class 3 District 1 meet at De Soto High School in De Soto, Missouri.

The Bulldogs finished third on the boys' standings with sectional-qualifying bids in nine events. On the girls' side, the Bulldogs placed fifth in the team standings and had sectional-qualifying results in two events.

The Bulldogs also shattered four school records at Saturday's district meet. On the girls' side, senior Marissa New broke the school record in the discus with her first-place throw of 132 feet, 10 inches, while junior Madison Little shattered the school record in the 400 meters, finishing third in 1:29.

For the boys, senior Jordan Barber also broke the school record in the 400, winning in 49.43 seconds, and freshman Rudy McClellan shattered the school record in the 1,600, placing fourth in 4:24.54 seconds.
