Thunderstorms and heavy rains across the middle section of the state caused some weather-related travel problems.

Some Oran players had minor scrapes, but no serious injuries, said Tom Anderson, superintendent of schools.

Passengers in the van said it had been raining and there were several other accidents along that stretch, Anderson said.

The team traveled to Columbia in two vans rather than a bus. The playoff game is set for 5 p.m. today.
