Oran's run into the Class 1 baseball final four helped the Eagles land three players on the Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters all-state team.
Sophomore catcher Caleb Seyer was one of four area players to earn first-team honors in Class 1. Seyer hit .438 this season with 56 runs scored, 24 RBIs and five home runs.
Chaffee sophomore pitcher Steven Dooley also earned first-team honors after striking out 100 batters in 69 innings. His record was just 5-6, but Dooley finished with a 1.93 ERA and walked only 24 batters.
Advance junior Trenton Moses and senior Jeremy Limbaugh also made the first team. Moses hit .549 with 17 RBIs and did not strike out in 51 at-bats. Limbaugh hit .406 with 32 RBIs and five home runs.
Oran junior Chase Seyer (5-1, 2.33 ERA) and senior Austin Dumey (.429, 43 RBIs) each earned second-team honors.
Central junior pitcher Brad LaBruyere earned first-team honors in Class 4. LaBruyere finished with a 0.79 ERA in 71 innings with 95 strikeouts and only 15 walks. LaBruyere had an 11-1 record, with his only loss coming in a relief appearance.
Tigers junior outfielder Matt Hester (.440, 20 stolen bases) made the second team.
