In a game that involved 49 fouls and 70 free throws, No. 14 Oran upended No. 11 Leopold 64-51 in a consolation quarterfinal game Tuesday in the Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament at the Show Me Center.
The numbers of foul and the free-throw percentages were similar for the two squads. Leopold committed 26 fouls compared to Oran's 23. The Wildcats hit 23 of 32 free throws, while the Eagles (3-4) made 24 of 38.
In the fourth quarter alone, the teams combined for 28 free throws.
Oran's Chase Seyer led all scorers with 26 points, including 12 in the second quarter. Steven Mock added 12 points for the Eagles.
Leopold, which managed only 13 field goals, was led by Matt Stoverink's 14 points.

Thirteenth-seeded Woodland outscored No. 12 Delta 21-8 in the fourth quarter to advance to the consolation semifinal round.
After trailing by seven at halftime, Delta used a 19-11 third-quarter advantage to gain a 41-40 lead heading into the final frame.
Woodland's high-scoring Seth Gaines, who was held to four points Monday against No. 4 Central, scored 12 of his game-high 31 points and Chantz Barham contributed nine of his 18 points in the fourth period.
"Delta is a very good basketball team," Woodland coach David Mirly said, "and they are more athletic than we are. We made two runs at them, and that was what made the difference. Other than that, it was pretty much even."
Gaines and Barham were the only two players to score more than five points for Woodland (3-5).
Delta was led by Aaron Kinder with 18 points, and Dustin Anglin added 11.

Scott City limited Chaffee to four field goals in the first half en route to eliminating the Red Devils.
Ethan Watkins drained three of his five 3-pointers to help the seventh-seeded Rams (3-4) jump to a 21-4 lead after one quarter.
No. 15 Chaffee (3-5) suffered from a size disadvantage and hit nine field goals in the game. Steven Dooley led the Devils with 10 points.
"They're a good team," Scott City coach Lance Amick said of Chaffee. "Their program is solid and it's getting better.
"It's nice to come out and win. We got better today defensively."
Watkins led the Rams with 22 points. Ryan Modglin added 12 points and Farrell Wasson had 10.

Eighth-seeded Scott County Central gradually pulled away from No. 16 Oak Ridge in a game filled with fouls, free throws and turnovers to advance to the consolation semifinal round.
Scott County Central committed 20 fouls and Oak Ridge totaled 21.
The Blue Jays (0-9) played right into the hands of the up-tempo Braves, and both teams committed numerous turnovers.
D.D. Gillespie scored 13 of his game-high 30 points in the first quarter to open the gates for Scott County Central (4-4).
Drew Thomas added 26 points for the Braves, Caleb Johnson had 14 and Pershard Owens scored 10.
Austin Hahs led Oak Ridge with 26 points and Johnnie Price added 15.
