Oran's boys basketball team defeated Oak Ridge Monday night 63-50 in an upset at the Class 1, District 2 tournament at Delta.
The sixth-seeded Eagles had three players score in the double figures: Robert Lange had 14 points, Steven Mock followed with 13 and Hunter Glastetter added 10.
Oran trailed 29-25 at halftime but outscored No. 3 Oak Ridge 36-21 in the second half. Austin Morrison led Oak Ridge with 13 points and Jon McMillan had 12 in a losing effort.
D.D. Gillespie scored 20 points for Bell City, helping the top-seeded team post a 52-point victory over Zalma 92-40.
For the Cubs, Jeff Liggins added 15 points and Kerry Lasters had 11.
Zalma's Tim Landing scored 12 points.
Also in the tournament, Saxony Lutheran's Lauren Lueders scored 22 points, helping her team post a seven-point victory against Marquand 76-69.
For the No. 4 Crusaders (18-7), Trey Maevers had 10 assists and Alex Jauch scored 17 points while pulling down 11 rebounds. Casey Petzoldt added 16 points, and Tim Lorenz had 14 for Saxony, which broke a 35-35 halftime tie.
The Tigers could not take advantage of Josh King's 35 points.
Delta, the tournament's host, defeated No. 7 Leopold 64-60 thanks to Kevin Bartels' 19 points. Leopold lost the game in the last quarter as it was outscored 17-9. Victor Vandeven led the Wildcats with 19 points.
Saxony will play Bell City at 6 p.m. tonight, and Oran will face Delta at 7:30 p.m. in the other semifinal.

Scott City moved on to the Class 3 District 2 semifinals with a win at Greenville.
The Rams jumped ahead 17-4 in the first quarter and cruised from there. Mark Dannenmueller finished with 24 points and four assists to lead Scott City (16-10). Mark Johnston added 19 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.
Scott City will play Charleston at 7:45 p.m. Thursday in the semifinals.

St. Vincent kept its season alive with an upset in the first round of the Class 2 District 3 tournament at the Perry Parks Center in Perryville.
The Indians (6-18), seeded fifth, knocked off No. 4 Viburnum (16-9) and will take on Metro (23-3) Thursday in the semifinal round.
Sierra Paulus led St. Vincent with 17 points, and Theresa Mattingly added 14.
