Alex Chasteen hurled a one-hit complete game to help Oran advance to the Class 1 District 2 championship game Tuesday with an 8-2 win over host Leopold in high school baseball action.
Chasteen struck out eleven, walked two and hit four batters. The Eagles Jayden Pobst went 2-4 with a home run, double and four RBIs to provide the offense for Oran.
Bell City could only manage one hit and no runs off Quinton Stevens and Silas Dill of Bernie as the Cubs were blanked 1-0 in a six inning game due to rain.
Bell City committed an error, followed by a double in the bottom of the first to allow Bernie to score.
Nick Niemczyk went five innings and allowed four hits and one unearned run.
Oran and Bernie will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday for the championship.

CLASS 1 DISTRICT 3
The Crusaders drew three first-inning walks and Bryant and Bret Steffens made district host South Iron pay for them. Each Steffens delivered RBI singles and Saxony knocked off South Iron 4-2 to move on to the district final.
Chris Roth worked five innings to earn the win and Garrett Fritsche got out of trouble in the sixth and worked a perfect seventh to get the save.
Second-seeded Saxony will face top-seeded Valle Catholic at 4:30 p.m. Thursday for the district crown.

Chaffee's season came to a halt with an 8-4 loss to host Charleston in the district semifinals.
Andy Hendrix and Adam Horton each went 2-for-3 for the Red Devils. Hendrix had a double.
Charleston advanced to play Scott City, which knocked off Kelly 1-0, at 4:30 p.m. today for the title.

Caleb Hosey threw a four-hit complete game to lead Jackson over Fox 4-0 and into the district final at Jackson City Park.
Hosey struck out four batters, walked three and hit one.
The Indians' Matt Crater went 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs, and Matt Lang went 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI.
Jackson will play Hillsboro, a 1-0 winner over Seckman, at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

GIRLS SOCCER CLASS 2 DISTRICT 1
Jackson advanced to the district championship game by knocking off Poplar Bluff 3-2 in Hillsboro, Mo.
Jenni Tenholder, Lauren Drewett and Katelyn Myracle scored goals for the Indians. Bobbi Jo Schlick tallied two assists.
Central's season came to an end with a 2-1 loss to Seckman. Seckman struck in the 13th minute and again in the 32nd minute.
Haley Pilsner scored the Tigers' (8-11) goal on a penalty kick.
Jackson will face Seckman for the district crown at 6 p.m. Thursday.
CLASS 1 DISTRICT 1
Kendra Schilli scored off of an assist 9 minutes into the second half and the Pirates held off St. Vincent 2-1 to advance to the district final in Farmington, Mo.
Perryville's Alicia Kueker scored 8 minutes into the contest on a pass by Ashley Reid. The Indians' Brooke Brown answered with 2 minutes left in the first half.
Natalie Bauwens made five saves in goal for Perryville, while Anne Steele made eight saves for St. Vincent.
Top-seeded Notre Dame took care of business by defeating Sikeston 2-0.
Anna Wren and Katherine Blasiney netted the goals for Notre Dame. Shelly Frank was in goal for the shutout.
Notre Dame will take on Perryville 5 p.m. Thursday in the final.
