Shelton, a 5-foot-9 guard, was named Mr. Show-Me Basketball by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association after helping lead Vashon to the Class 4A state title last season.

A four-year starter at Vashon, Shelton averaged 23.5 points as a senior for a Wolverines squad that wound up the season ranked No. 12 nationally by USA Today.

Shelton would become the third player to sign with Southeast this spring. Previously signing were Monte Gordon, a 6-5 forward from Kankakee (Ill.) Community College; and Terry Rogers, a 6-foot-10 center from Mineral Area Junior College in Park Hills.
