Camren Volz knocked in three hits and drove in four runs to lead Oak Ridge past Delta 11-1 on Friday in the consolation round of the Oak Ridge Baseball Invitational.

Volz’s RBIs came on a triple in the first inning, a single in the third, and a single in the fifth. Konnor Hobeck got the offense going for the Blue Jays in the first inning by hitting the first pitch he saw for an RBI triple.

Oak Ridge racked up 12 total hits, led by Volz and Hobeck’s three hits. Grant Meyer also managed multiple hits for the Blue Jays.

Oak Ridge starting pitcher Cohen Hahs gave up one run on three hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Bruce Cox was the lone bright spot for the Bobcats. He went 2-for-2 and scored Delta’s only run in the game.

Oak Ridge will take on Meadow Heights, who defeated Leopold 3-2 on Friday at Meadow Heights High School, for the consolation final on Saturday at 10 a.m., in Oak Ridge.

Drew Thorne singled on a 1-2 count to break a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning.

Leopold took an early lead in the second inning when Jay Engelen drew a walk with the bases loaded.

Meadow Heights senior Koby Cook hit an RBI single in the fourth inning to tie the game at 2-2.

Panthers senior ace Will Green threw a complete game, giving up two runs on six hits with seven strikeouts.

Wildcats starting pitcher Connor Ritter surrendered three runs on four hits over 5.1 innings, striking out three. Drew Engelen finished the game out of the bullpen. Fred Brandel went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Leopold.
