Notre Dame (2-0) and Central (1-1) had a pitchers' duel Wednesday, with Notre Dame coming out on top 2-0.
Lindsay Reinagel picked up her second win in as many days for the Bulldogs as she fired a one-hitter over the full seven innings.
Megan McDonald took the loss. McDonald struck out 12 in seven innings and the only two runs she allowed were unearned.
"Both girls pitched great," Notre Dame coach Chris Janet said.
Notre Dame scored both runs in the top of the fourth inning. After Ashley Reinagel walked and Laura Weissmueller reached on an error, Whitney Ostendorf drove home both with a two-out single.
"One hit won't win you a game," Central coach Amy Blattel said, "but Megan did an outstanding job on the mound."
Notre Dame's junior varsity also posted a narrow victory, 7-6.
