Notre Dame soccer players among area athletes honored

Four Notre Dame boys soccer players picked up a pair of postseason honors after helping the Bulldogs to third place in the state.

Brock Dirnberger, Joda Holloway, Ryan Bass and John Unterreiner all earned first-team all-conference honors in the SEMO Soccer Conference, plus earned a spot on the Class 2 Missouri State High School Soccer Coaches Association's all Southeast region first team.

The Bulldogs lost to Helias on penalty kicks in the Class 2 state semifinals, then beat Pembroke Hill in the third-place game.

All four Notre Dame players are seniors.
