After suffering a loss to Anna-Jonesboro its last time out, Notre Dame's girls basketball team went on the road Monday night and cruised past Farmington 69-54.

Notre Dame (6-7) used a strong shooting night and went 28 of 54 from the field to establish an early lead. The Bulldogs led 19-13 after one quarter and built a 37-21 lead by halftime.

"We just pushed the ball and kind of ran them out of gas," Notre Dame coach Jerry Grim said.

Notre Dame came out of halftime strong, extending its lead to 24 points after three quarters. Farmington did most of its damage against Notre Dame's second unit, posting 25 points in the fourth quarter.

Ashley Millham scored 26 points for Notre Dame and had 10 rebounds. Sommer McCauley added 15 point, and Erin Pfau had 10. Sierra Ellis added eight points and six assists for the Bulldogs.

Jackson 105, NMCC 28

Jackson outscored host New Madrid County Central 31-3 in the first quarter and cruised to its second SEMOConference win.

Jackson (9-3) built a 61-14 halftime lead and led 87-17 after three quarters. The Indians had 13 players in the scoring column, led by Jenna Leet's 21 points. Ashley Bartels had 14, Jennifer Ferrell 12 and Whitney Werner 12.

St. Pius 43, St. Vincent 40

St. Vincent fell into a 14-point first-half hole and never emerged in a Jefferson County Conference road loss.

Chelsey Brown, with 13 points, was the only player to finish in double figures for St. Vincent (6-6, 1-1).

St. Pius led 26-12 at halftime and the Squaws never got closer than the final margin.

Windsor 60, Perryville 53

Perryville fell to 1-1 in the Jefferson County Conference with a loss at Imperial, Mo.

After trailing by only three at halftime, Windsor out-scored Perryville (6-7) 18-11 in the third to pull away. April Lorenz led Perryville with 17 points. Krista Miesner added 12 points, and Emily Amberger had 11.

BOYS BASKETBALL

St. Vincent 65, Marquand 45

Eleven St. Vincent players found the scoring column as the Indians picked up a win in their final tuneup for conference play.

Aaron Rellergert led the way with 13 points while Matt Wengert and Alex Armbruster each finished with 11.

Adam Mills scored a game-high 15 points for Marquand and Jason Myers added 14.

St. Vincent (5-4) took a 10-9 lead into the second quarter and proceeded to outscore the Tigers 25-12 for a 13-point lead at halftime.

St. Vincent will host Windsor in its conference opener tonight.

OTHER EVENTS

Jared Thomas scored 16 points as Central's freshman boys basketball team squeaked to a 43-41 home victory over New Madrid County Central. David Deisher added 10 points for Central (4-6).

Robert Weir led the Tigers (3-5) with 16 points in a 57-32 eighth-grade boys basketball win over Shawnee (Ill.). Matt Hester added 12 and Clay Obergoenner contributed 10.
