The Notre Dame and Sikeston girls soccer teams can't seem to finish their meetings in the alloted time.

For the third time this season, Notre Dame defeated Sikeston in overtime on Wednesday night.

Lauren Mehner scored for the Bulldogs with 10 seconds left in the second overtime period for a 1-0 home victory.

Notre Dame (7-6-2) was denied on nearly 30 shots before Emily Blattel assisted Mehner for the winning goal.

Claudia Brauss made four saves in goal for the shutout.

JV -- Notre Dame won 7-0.

Jackson 2, St. Vincent 0

Molly Hartmann and Shay Priester scored goals to lead the host Indians.

Rebecca Richbourg added an assist while Kylie Werner recorded the shutout for Jackson (10-2).

St. Vincent (10-9) keeper Michelle Herzog was credited with 18 saves.

JV -- Jackson won 2-0.

Carbondale 2, Central 1

Central led 1-0 at halftime but fell to the visitors from Illinois.

Haley Pilsner scored for the Tigers (9-4-1), with an assist from Kate Miller.

Carbondale came back with two second-half goals.

Central plays its final home game at 6 p.m. tonight when Poplar Bluff visits for a varsity contest only. It will be senior recognition night for the Tigers.

JV -- Carbondale won 4-0.

GOLF Dexter 180, Notre Dame 192

Notre Dame's Will Lindman earned the medalist spot, but the Bulldogs lost at the Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson.

Lindman shot a 4-over-par 40, Brandon Holzum shot a 47, Tyler LeGrand shot a 48 and Andrew Bertrand finished at 57 for Notre Dame.

SOFTBALL

Advance 20, Bell City 2, 3 innings

Advance scored 15 runs in the second inning against Stoddard County Conference foe Bell City.

Kacie Ritter earned the pitching win in her first varsity start. She striking out three batters and allowed one earned run in three innings.

Angela Broshuis went 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple and a double for the Hornets (8-2, 3-0 SCC). Amber Wilson and Ritter each added two hits.

TRACK AND FIELD Chaffee Meet

Chaffee dominated Scott City and Saxony Lutheran to claim the girls title in a three-team meet at Chaffee.

Casey Guzman won the triple jump and long jump for the Red Devils, while Sara Dooley claimed the discus and shot put, and Kim Hester won the 100- and 200-meter runs.

On the boys side, Scott City defeated Saxony and Chaffee.

Trey Maevers won the 800 and high jump for Saxony, and teammate Brandon Etzold won the 1,600 and 3,200.

Matt Sanders won the discus and shot put for Chaffee.
