Frankie Ellis scored one goal and assisted on two goals to lead Notre Dame in a 4-0 victory against visiting Hillsboro on Tuesday night.

Ellis, who assisted on the first and third goals, scored the second goal by completing a 40-yard run after Jordan Buchheit had won the ball at midfield for the Bulldogs.

Jason Delgado scored two goals, notching the first on an assist by Ellis midway through the first half. He scored the final goal of the game unassisted.

Jack Wedemeier also scored a goal for Notre Dame on an assist from Ellis.

Nathan Kolda recorded the shutout, his second straight.

"Our defense has been playing very well," Notre Dame coach Brad Wittenborn said. "Andrew Buelow at sweeper has been spectacular, but our whole defense has been playing well."

The Bulldogs (3-1) host Sikeston, the team it lost to in last year's Class 2 district championship game, on Thursday before traveling to three-time Class 1 defending state champion Whitfield Academy on Friday.

Jackson 2, Poplar Bluff 2

Chris Shelton scored twice to help Jackson settle for a tie on the road.

Poplar Bluff led 2-1 at halftime, but Shelton evened the score 8 minutes into the second half. Cameron Keller picked up an assist on Shelton's first goal, which came less than 3 minutes into the game.

JV -- Jackson won 3-0.
