PACIFIC -- Notre Dame High's girls soccer team advanced to Thursday's championship game of the Pacific Tournament by routing Hillsboro 7-1 in Tuesday's semifinals. PACIFIC -- Notre Dame High's girls soccer team advanced to Thursday's championship game of the Pacific Tournament by routing Hillsboro 7-1 in Tuesday's semifinals.

Jill Edwards netted three goals as the Lady Bulldogs evened their record at 3-3-1.

Edwards and Jaymie Frank each scored first-half goals for a 2-0 lead. Edwards scored the first two goals of the second half and Cindy Cox, Michelle Hency and Nicole Passini added goals. Picking up assists were Crystal Kanaday, Hency, Edwards, Cox and Sarah Westrich.

Thursday's title game will be played at 8 p.m.

Cape Central 1, Perryville 0

PERRYVILLE -- Amanda Hiler scored 12 minutes into Tuesday's game and Central held on for a win to improve to 5-0-1.

Amy Harris earned the shutout.

Central won the JV game 6-1 and improved to 2-1. Rebecca Hellrich scored three goals.

BASEBALL

Perryville 3, Scott City 1

SCOTT CITY -- Down 1-0, Perryville scored a run in the sixth inning and added two in the seventh to beat host Scott City Tuesday.

In the seventh inning, Perryville's Jeremy Koenig had an RBI sacrifice and Nick Adams had an RBI single. Kyle Yamnitz went 2-for-3. Five of Perryville's seven hits came in the last two frames.

Shaun Duvall earned the win. He went the distance, allowing just three hits and striking out 11. Perryville improved to 3-2.

Tim Lowery pitched a six-hitter for Scott City, which fell to 2-1.

Kelly 5, Dexter 2

DEXTER -- Kelly improved to 3-1 Tuesday by handing host Dexter its first loss of the season.

Jim Hulshof hurled five innings for the win. He allowed four hits and one run. Denver Stuckey gave up one run over the final two frames.

John Livingston led Kelly offensively with three hits, including a home run and two RBIs. Stuckey and Jason Glastetter both had two hits while Ben Klipfel added two RBIs.

Advance 18, Bernie 7

BERNIE -- Advance banged out 16 hits, including two home runs, in improving to 4-0 on the season with a road win Tuesday.

D.A. Slinkard and Chris Wallace both hit home runs. Slinkard also had a double and finished with six RBIs. Winning pitcher Garrett Broshuis and Alan Stevens both had three hits, including two doubles by Stevens. Adam Rainey and Wallace both finished with a pair of hits.

Broshuis was impressive on the mound, striking out 14 batters, walking three and allowing six hits.

Leopold 9, Zalma 0

LEOPOLD -- Donnie Landewee pitched a two-hitter and fanned eight Tuesday to pace Leopold's home-field victory.

Junior Smith and Lee Vandermierden both had two hits for the Wildcats (2-3).

Oran 12, Charleston 0

CHARLESTON -- Oran pounded 13 hits in its easy win over host Charleston Tuesday. The Eagles moved to 5-0.

Chris Nichols had three hits and Justin McAllister, Dustin Dannenmueller, Billy Loper, and Dustin Glastetter each had two hits. Nichols and Loper had home runs.

McAllister earned the win.

BOYS TENNIS

Lone Oak 9, Cape Central 0

Cape Central played host to a perennially strong Kentucky team Tuesday, dropping all nine of its matches to fall to 4-2 on the season.

Ed Roeger was the lone Tiger to come away with a victory on the day, winning a JV match 6-3, 6-1. Central's JV is now 2-2 on the season.
