BENTON -- Notre Dame girls ended Kelly's regular season on a losing note Thursday with a 50-45 victory over the Lady Hawks.

Notre Dame improved to 15-8 on the season. Kelly, which will not play until Class 2A district action opens on March 1, fell to 14-7.

"Both teams played as hard as they can play," said Kelly coach Clay Vangilder. "That's usually the way it is when Notre Dame and Kelly meet."

Notre Dame saw only five girls score, but four reached double figures, led by 12-point performances by Olivia Beel and Amanda Lange. Tracy Blattel and Randi Senciboy each added 10.

Jennifer McNeill scored a game-high 19 points, but was the lone Kelly player in double figures.

The game was close throughout, with Kelly leading 13-10 after one quarter and Notre Dame going out front 26-24 by halftime. The Lady Bulldogs took a 39-33 lead into the fourth quarter.

Notre Dame hit on all eight of its free throws in the game.

Notre Dame returns to action when Cape Central visits for a 1 p.m. game.

Jackson 61, North County 39

DESLOGE -- The Jackson Lady Indians withstood a physical contest with North County -- making 32-of-42 free throws -- to roll to a 22-point win.

"We won it at the free-throw-line," Jackson coach Ron Cook said. "It was a very physical game and we were glad to get out of there without any injuries."

Christa Millham scored 20 and senior Michelle Millham added 19 points for Jackson as they pushed their record to 21-2. Tonight the Lady Indians host Herculaneum in their final home game of the season.

Scott City 101, Oran 14

ORAN -- Amy O'Brien netted 26 points, collected 10 steals and eight assists in a romp over Oran.

Sarah Emerson added 19 points while Tara Sanford finished with 16 points and Sarah Glenn scored 10.

Scott City (17-5) led 26-4 by the close of the first quarter and held a 53-10 lead at halftime.

Scott County 72, Chaffee 55

MORLEY -- Vontrice Blackmon dropped in 24 points Wednesday night to lead the Scott County Central Lady Braves to a big home win over Chaffee.

Blackmon was one of four Lady Braves (9-11) to score in double-figures. Ashley Woodson scored 12 for Central along with 10 each from senior Jamie Sadler and freshman Lekeya Turner. Sadler also grabbed eight rebounds.

Scott County outscored the Lady Red Devils 27-12 in the second quarter to take a commanding 45-23 lead at the half.

Chaffee's Renee Vandeven led three teammates in double-digits with 16 points as the Lady Red Devils fell to 9-12. Brandi Foulk scored 14 and Kate Nolen added 11.

"I was proud of the way our girls battled back in the second half," Chaffee coach Brian Horrell said. "We did a much better job with their press after the second quarter."

Perryville 82, Charleston 39

PERRYVILLE -- Seniors Dena Schumer and Cicely Guth celebrated their final home game for the Perryville Lady Pirates, scoring 16 and 12 points respectively to lead PHS to a big win.

April Watts led Perrryville (18-8) with 17 points. The win concluded the Lady Pirates regular season with District 2 action beginning next week at Park Hills.

Perryville opened up a 20-8 lead after one quarter and kept extending that lead through the following three quarters. Renee Kaemphe added 11 points for Perryville.

Charleston was led in scoring by Stacy Glamore with 13 points. Lawanna Wiley added 12.

Fredericktown 61, St. Vincent 34

FREDERICKTOWN -- The Lady Blackcats of Fredericktown used the size advantage of 6-foot-2 Lindsey Merrill to cruise to victory over St.Vincent.

Merrill scored 15 points to lead 10 different Fredericktown scorers. After one quarter the Lady Blackats led 19-4 and extended that lead to 36-15 at halftime.

Kaci Kutz scored 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting to lead St. Vincent (6-16). Becky Lorenz added nine points and Valerie Fallert played well off the bench with seven points.

Delta 42, Sikeston 27

DELTA -- Jody Below scored a game-high 15 point to lead Delta to a comfortable home win over Sikeston.

Delta (14-4) led from start to finish against the bigger Lady Bulldogs Delta led 10-6 after one quarter and 18-14 at intermission.

Delta 69 Oak Ridge 59

OAK RIDGE -- The Blue Jays opened with a strong first quarter Thursday night but the Delta Bobcats answered the Oak Ridge opening with three solid quarters to finish with a road win.

Oak Ridge (6-13) jumped to a 21-14 lead after one quarter but Delta took care of business in the following three quarters escape with a 10-point victory.

Trailing 32-27 at halftime, the Bobcats (14-10) outscored the Blue Jays 24-14 in the third quarter to take control of the game.

Delta got balanced scoring from four players with Garrett DeBrock leading the Bobcats with 14 points. Shawn Kinder scored 12 and Sammy Below and Kenny Gaebler both added 10 points each.

Kirt Ruehling pumped home a game-high 21 points for Oak Ridge and teammate Matt Preusser scored 19.

St. Vincent 68, Herculaneum 51

PERRVILLE -- St. Vincent wrapped up first place in the Jefferson County small school division for the third consecutive year with a 17-point win over Herculaneum.

Jonathan Wengert poured home 27 points to hold off a late challenge by the Blackcats and push the Indians record in the small school division to a league-best 3-1.

In the fourth quarter, the Indians watched a 17-point lead shrink to six points with three minutes left. But the Indians sank 13-of-16 free throws in the final quarter to hold on and push their overall record to 9-13 (4-5 overall in the JeffCo Conference).

Jasan Cissell added 14 points for SV.
