Zach Smith posted the highest finish for Notre Dame at the state swimming and diving championships held at the St. Peter's Rec-Plex this weekend.
Smith, a senior, finished 21st in the 100-yard butterfly preliminary held on Friday with a time of 55.12 seconds and placed 30th in the 200 IM in 2:07.01.
Smith combined with Caleb Heisserer, Ethan Pobst and Jackson Voss to finish 26th in the 200 freestyle relay (1:33.86) and 28th in the 400 freestyle relay (3:26.74).
Heisserer, Pobst, David Carmen and Ben Tlapek were 33rd in the 200 medley relay in 1:51.01.
Pobst finished 40th in the 100 freestyle while Voss finished in 29th in the 200 freestyle and 33rd in the 500 freestyle.
Heisserer was 28th in the 1-meter diving preliminary.
The Eagles dropped their home opener on Friday to fall to 0-2.
Josh King led Eagle ridge with 18 points, and Jordan Cliff had seven.
