Lafayette scored just before halftime and held on to knock off Notre Dame 2-1 in boys soccer action Friday.
Lafayette is ranked sixth in the state.
"They're a very good team," Notre Dame coach Brad Wittenborn said. "I feel like we had the better of the plays, but they had the better of the scoring."
Brenton Ruopp scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs (10-2-1), with the assist by John Unterreiner.

Ben Courteous scored the only goal for the Crusaders (8-1-1), with the assist by Garrett Fritsche in the road game.

Woodland remained undefeated in Stoddard County Conference play with a home sweep.
Chelsea Morris led the Cardinals (13-4, 4-0) with seven kills and four aces. Lauren Johnson had five kills, while Brandi Killian recorded nine assists.

BOYS SWIMMINGClayton meet
Central finished second with 114 points, 12 points behind winner Hazelwood East. Clayton finished third with 80.
Tigers swimmer Sam Gramling finished first in the 200-meter individual medley and Caleb Coots finished first in the 500 freestyle.
The Tigers finished first in the 200 freestyle relay with the team of Coots, Gramling, Austin Mehner and Michael Merrit.
